Apps and published products: Knovon does not collect personal data from end users through any mobile apps, web apps, games, Roblox experiences, or other consumer software we publish under our own brands. We do not run our own in-app analytics, advertising networks, or user databases tied to individuals inside those products. Details are in Section 2.
1. Scope of this Policy
This Policy applies to:
- The Knovon marketing website (the “Site”), currently served as a static site; and
- Consumer-facing products published by Knovon as described in Section 2.
If you are a client or counterparty under a separate contract (for example, custom development for your company), privacy terms for that relationship may be set out in your agreement or an addendum. This Policy is focused on the Site and Knovon’s own published apps and products.
2. Knovon-published apps and digital products
For every app, game, web experience, Roblox experience, and similar product that Knovon publishes under our control (including titles and experiences offered under Knovon’s brands on app stores or platforms such as Roblox), our design position is simple:
- We do not collect, log, or transmit personal data (such as your name, email address, phone number, precise location, contacts, photos, or advertising identifiers tied to you) from your device to Knovon for our own use.
- We do not embed third-party SDKs whose purpose is to track you across apps or websites for advertising or behavioral profiling on our behalf.
- We do not sell personal information and we do not “share” it for cross-context behavioral advertising as defined under U.S. state privacy laws.
If a product is fully offline or has no account system, there is typically no data path from your device to Knovon at all. If a product uses a platform account (for example, a Roblox or game console login), authentication and account records are handled by that platform—not by Knovon’s own collection from the app.
2.1 What we do not control (platforms and devices)
When you download an app or use an online service, Apple, Google, Roblox, console manufacturers, ISPs, and operating systems may process technical or account information under their own privacy policies (for example, crash diagnostics, payment processing, or anti-fraud signals). Knovon does not operate those systems. For questions about data collected by a store or platform, please review that third party’s privacy notice.
2.2 Future changes
If we ever introduce a feature that collects personal data from app users (for example, an optional account with sign-in), we will update this Policy, provide in-product notice where required, and obtain consent where the law requires it. Unless we say otherwise in an updated Policy and in-product disclosures, the practices in Section 2 remain in effect.
3. Information we may receive from the Site
The Site is largely informational. We do not operate server-side accounts or a first-party analytics dashboard on this static deployment.
3.1 Contacting us
If you use the contact flow (for example, a form that opens your email client), any information you choose to send is provided voluntarily. We receive only what you include in the message. We use that information to read and respond to your inquiry and to operate our business (including potential follow-up about a project). We do not use it for automated profiling.
3.2 Technical data from hosting and networks
Whoever hosts the Site (for example, a cloud or Git provider) may automatically log limited technical data when you request pages—such as IP address, user agent, and timestamp—for security and reliability. Knovon accesses such logs only as needed for security, debugging, or legal compliance, according to the host’s tools and terms.
3.3 Fonts and third-party requests
The Site may load fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser requests those files, Google may receive technical data (such as IP address) as described in Google’s privacy documentation. We do not combine that with in-app data because we do not collect in-app data as described in Section 2.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking pixels on the Site for marketing retargeting. Your browser may still store ordinary cookies or local data set by the Site’s host or by embedded resources (for example, font providers). You can control cookies through your browser settings.
5. How long we keep information
Email and business inquiries: We retain messages and related correspondence for as long as needed to respond, manage our relationship with you, and meet legal or accounting obligations, then delete or archive them according to our internal retention practices.
App users: Because we do not collect personal data from our published apps as described in Section 2, we generally have no Knovon-held app user database to retain. Platform providers may retain their own records under their policies.
6. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect business information we hold (including emails you send us). No method of transmission over the Internet is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Disclosure to others
We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that disclosure is appropriate to:
- Comply with law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request;
- Enforce our agreements or protect the rights, property, or safety of Knovon, our users, or the public;
- Work with service providers who assist our operations (for example, email or hosting), subject to confidentiality and purpose limitations.
8. Children’s privacy
The Site is intended for adults and businesses. Our published apps may be suitable for various ages depending on the product and platform rating. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the higher age required in your jurisdiction for valid consent) through our apps as described in Section 2. If you believe we have received personal information from a child in error, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
9. International users
Knovon is based in the United States. Information you send us may be processed and stored in the United States or other countries where we or our providers operate. Those countries may have different data protection laws than your country.
10. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain personal information, or to object to certain processing. Because our published apps do not collect personal data on Knovon’s side as described in Section 2, there may be nothing for us to access or delete in connection with a specific app install. You may still have rights with respect to information you sent us by email or that appears in server logs held by our hosting providers.
California residents: We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended. We describe our practices in this Policy. You may contact us to exercise rights the law provides.
European Economic Area, UK, and Switzerland: If we process your personal data and the GDPR or similar law applies, we rely on legitimate interests (responding to inquiries, securing the Site) or other lawful bases as appropriate. You may have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the effective date. If changes are material, we will take additional steps as required by law (such as a more prominent notice).
